CM Punk Files A Countersuit Against Colt Cabana As The Fallout From Their Legal Battle With WWE Continues

As you may recall, WWE Doctor Chris Amann sued CM Punk and Colt Cabana for comments the former WWE Superstar made on his friend's podcast, including the allegation that he misdiagnosed a MRSA staph infection as a fatty deposit. Ultimately, a jury ruled in Punk and Cabana's favour and they didn't have to pay a penny to Amann.

The case wasn't over quite yet, though. Cabana ended up suing Punk after claiming that the wrestler turned MMA star promised to cover his legal bills. He was seeking $200,000 for his personal legal costs and additional damages but the man once known as the Best in the World has now responded to that with a lawsuit of his own for $600,000!

Punk says he spent $1.2 million in legal feels between himself and Cabana but was never reimbursed which he states "violated fundamental principles of justice, equality, and good conscience" and breached their contract. He also points out that the podcast with Cabana was immensely popular but he never received any compensation for it.

That seems beyond petty and it sadly seems as if these former best friends are letting their personal issues spill into the courtroom in a situation no one will ultimately win.
