Cody Rhodes Says He Almost Got Into A Backstage "Fist Fight" With Seth Rollins

Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins had a great series of matches prior to the former taking time off to recover from an injury, but the American Nightmare has now revealed that the two don't get along... at all!

Prior to Cody Rhodes taking some time off to recover from that torn pec he suffered while training, he and Seth Rollins had a series of terrific matches shortly after the American Nightmare returned to WWE from AEW.

But as great as their chemistry was in the ring, it sounds like their relationship may not have been quite so smooth backstage.

“Him and I absolutely can’t stand one another, I’d probably try and rip his eyes out,” Rhodes admitted on the Dan LeBatard Show (via the Sportster), before revealing that they almost came to blows backstage.

“Seth Rollins is the closest I’ve ever had to backstage turning into a fist fight in front of all of our peers and upper management. It didn’t happen.”

Cody may simply be staying in-character here, but the Superstars usually don't bring their WWE personas to interviews these days, so we'd say there's a pretty good chance he's on the level.

Unfortunately, Rhodes didn't elaborate on what led to such a heated situation, but we're sure someone will ask Rollins about it next time he's being interviewed!

Rhodes will face Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship during Night 2 of WrestleMania this Sunday.
