Rumors have been swirling that Dolph Ziggler would soon be stepping away from WWE for a while, which is why it came as such a surprise when he won the US title triple-threat match as Clash of Champions this past Sunday.

Well, now it all seems to make sense.

Tonight on SmackDown, The Showoff came out to the ring and berated fans for never recognising his talent or accomplishments, before stating that he'd give us "something to remember him by" and leaving the title in the middle of the ring.

This is clearly some kind of angle, but what exactly it means for Ziggler's tenure with the company is unknown at this time.
