Former WWE Tag Team Champion Tyson Kidd Now Has A New Role Within The Company

Tyson Kidd suffered a career-ending injury during a dark match with Samoa Joe two years ago and nearly died. Since then, we've heard very little about his future with WWE but his new role has now been revealed.

It was two years ago that Tyson Kidd suffered a tragic career-ending injury which could have very easily been fatal and despite the fallout from that being central to a storyline in season five of Total Divas, he was nowhere to be seen in season six and we've heard very little about his condition since.

One thing we do know is that he won't wrestle again but that doesn't mean WWE is about to let Kidd's talents go to waste.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reports that the former Tag Team Champion has transitioned into a new backstage role which will see him serving as an agent/producer. That means he's going to help put matches together and producer segments on WWE television. He'll also be part of Total Divas season seven so we'll hopefully get to see him transition into this new position within WWE.

Could he wrestle again? It seems highly unlikely but at least Kidd is still contributing within WWE and helping future talents!
