No, Shinsuke Nakamura has no intention of retiring. Not for a few more years, anyway.

The 39-year-old former United States Champion hasn't been seen on SmackDown LIVE for quite a while now, which has led to speculation that he might be thinking about stepping away from the wrestling business. However, during an interview with StraitTimes.com, the King of Strong Style assured his fans that intends to keep throwing those lethal Kinshasas for at least another 5 years.

“I want to wrestle at least five more years. I’m 39 now. (Former MLB) baseball player Ichiro Suzuki retired at 45 and he was such an influence for Japanese sportsmen, especially those who lived in other countries. And so I need to wrestle until I’m 45 years old.”

Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean that he'll stay in WWE! Despite some high profile matches and feuds, Nakamura hasn't really been utilized to his full potential since he moved up to the main roster from NXT, and he may want to return to Japan for the remainder of his career.

For now, though, he is still under contract, so let's hope he returns to our screens very soon.
