It Doesn't Sound As If We Should Expect To See Rob Van Dam Back In A WWE Ring In The Near Future

The last time we saw Rob Van Dam in a WWE ring was 2014 and a lot has changed in the company since then. While it's easy to imagine there still being a place for him on RAW, SmackDown Live, or even NXT, things have definitely moved on so can the fan-favourite ECW alum ever picture himself making a return to the company?

During a recent interview, RVD was asked exactly that and revealed that while he's talked to WWE, it's not been about making an in-ring return. "I've talked to WWE recently, but it's about the new video games that are coming out. That was more of a business talk about that, but when the business is right and it's the right time to go back, that, of course, is then always a possibility."

At 46, RVD isn't exactly
at his prime so it's hard to say how much interest WWE would have him in right now given how much young talent is moving up from NXT to the main roster. A Hall of Fame induction somewhere down the line feels like an inevitability, though, so chances are we can expect to see him back in WWE at some point.
