It Looks Like Chris Jericho's Recent Return To SMACKDOWN LIVE May Have Been A One-Off Appearance

It seems there was a very good reason for Chris Jericho's absence from this past Tuesday's edition of WWE Smackdown Live, as the mega-popular Superstar's recent appearance was reportedly a one-time thing...

Fans were overjoyed when Chris Jericho made a surprise appearance on Smackdown Live a couple of weeks ago to challenge Kevin Owens for his newly-won United States Championship, but from the sounds of things we won't be seeing Y2J again for a while.

Jericho is currently not scheduled for any future events, which means that Smackdown appearance was most likely a one-off thing. That's not to suggest that he'll never be back, of course, but it'll probably be closer to the end of the year before he makes his presence felt on TV again.

Y2J will definitely be keeping busy, however, as he has a new book entitled No is a Four Letter Word scheduled for an August 29th release, and his band, Fozzy, goes on tour from September 16th through November.

Are you disappointed by this news, or did you pretty much figure this would be the case anyway? Sound off in the usual place.
