Jim Ross Doesn't Think WWE SMACKDOWN LIVE General Manager Daniel Bryan Should Wrestle Again

Smackdown Live GM Daniel Bryan has been teasing (trolling?) a return to the ring for a while now, and although it's something his legion of fans would love to see, Good 'Ol JR has a different perspective...

Whether he's actually serious about it or not remains to be seen, but Daniel Bryan is definitely more than happy to let fans believe that he may be planning to return to the ring again once his WWE contract expires next year.

Bryan's latest tease was a "challenge" to Cody Rhodes for his newly won Ring of Honor World Championship, and even though both men have since admitted they were just having some fun, it did gain quite a bit of attention.

Most people would obviously love to see the former American Dragon lace up his boots again, but one man has put forward a slightly less positive - or more realistic, depending on your point of view - take on things.

In his latest blog post, Jim "JR" Ross weighed in on the situation:

“Seems as if Daniel Bryan is having some fun trolling social media as he teases a return to the ring which I seriously doubt will or should ever happen. If his existing medical condition put DB in a higher risk category, then he needs to be the responsible husband and father and refrain from lacing up his boots again. Don’t get me wrong, if DB could safely resume his career I’d be all for it as he is one of the great talents in recent memory.”

Keep in mind that Bryan has been cleared to wrestle by his own doctors, just not by WWE medical personal - so it's difficult to know how serious his prognoses actually is. That said, it's hard to argue with JR's logic here.
