Kairi Sane Is Reportedly Set To Leave WWE Soon And Return To Japan

Some potentially bad news for Kabuki Warriors fans here, as a reliable source is reporting that former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion Kairi Sane is set to leave the company and return to her homeland of Japan.

Fans have been wondering about the status of Kairi Sane ever since she was written off TV after an attack from Nia Jax on Raw a few weeks ago, and now we may have an update.

Amid consistent rumors that the Pirate Princess is planning to leave the company and return to Japan, The Wrestling Observer is reporting that this is indeed the case, and that WWE has known about it for months.

Apparently, Sane has wanted to go back to her home country to be with her husband for quite a while, but WWE was unsure how to proceed with writing her off TV. Before a legitimate injury put Kairi on the shelf for a short period, the plan was to have her suffer a storyline "career ending injury" that would have allowed her to leave for good.

Both Charlotte Flair and Shayna Baszler were discussed as potential perpetrators, but if WWE does decide to stick with this angle, it looks like Nia Jax - who legitimately hurt Kairi on a recent episode of Raw - will do the honors.

Kairi Sane fans (and, really, who isn't?) will be hoping this report is false, but we're just going to have to wait and see.
