Following multiple reports that Lio Rush has backstage heat in WWE for bringing his wife backstage and refusing to carry senior wrestlers' bags and water on a recent European tour, he's now taken to social media to refute those claims.

You can find what he had to say by clicking here, but most interesting was the fact that he expressed his unhappiness with the fact he has to pay for his own travel and accommodation (leaving him broke, apparently) and that the company doesn't have him join Bobby Lashley at paid meet and greets or compensate him for his catchphrases being used on t-shirts.

Now, a new report claims that Rush was offered a five-year contract that was said to be in the $300,000 per year range but he turned it down after asking for twice as much.

Mike Johnson of PW Insider adds that, "We are told that Rush has, at on at least one occasion, instead suggested the company release him so he can ‘show them’ what he could accomplish outside of WWE."

This sounds like an Enzo Amore-type situation, so expect things to continue to develop in the coming weeks.
