WWE fans have been waiting a long time to see Chad Gable receive a significant push and the Alpha Academy member's ongoing feud with Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER might just be it.
During last night's episode of RAW, there was another confrontation between Gable, Otis, Maxxine Dupri and Imperium's Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser, with the latter once again slapped across the face by the former Maximum Male Models manager.
Gable later defeated Vinci, prompting GUNTHER to challenge Otis to a match.
The heel won but was left embarrassed after being hit by a sneaky German Suplex from Gable once the bell had rung. We won't be getting our hopes up that Gable will be the one to end GUNTHER's lengthy championship reign, but boy, that Intercontinental title sure would help elevate his place on the card.
Comparisons to Kurt Angle have persisted ever since Gable debuted and it's about time WWE looks beyond his height as he's one of their best wrestlers by a country mile.
