Michael Cole Took A Shot At AEW Owner Tony Khan During ELIMINATION CHAMBER Commentary

Tony Khan has been in the news a lot lately thanks to his back-and-forth feud with wrestling journo Ariel Helwani, which Michael Cole made reference to during his commentary for the Elimination Chamber event.

Though some would question his ability as a booker, by all accounts, AEW owner Tony Khan is a pretty cool guy. However, that perception has begun to change somewhat over the past week or so.

Khan has been involved in a back-and-forth feud with renowned wrestling and MMA journalist Ariel Helwani, who he referred to as a "fraud" and accused of being "biased" after his recent appearance on SmackDown.

Tony's responses have led to him being branded "thin-skinned" and "petulant" by several well-known wrestling personalities, and it seems certain people at WWE have taken notice.

Helwani was also in attendance at the Elimination Chamber PLE this past Saturday, and when announcer Michael Cole spotted him on screen, he took an obvious shot at Khan.

“On your right, there’s Georges St-Pierre, one of the greatest MMA stars of all-time. On the left, the UNBIASED, world renowned combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani who asks all the hard questions whether you want to answer them or not.”

We're not exactly sure why Khan had such an issue with Helwani appearing on WWE TV, but he definitely seems to be all in favor of pushing the notion that some kind of heated feud exists between both companies.

What do you make of Khan's comments and Cole's little dig? Be sure to share your thoughts down below.
