The bad news keeps coming for WWE as RAW suffered another noteworthy ratings hit this past Monday. The show ended up drawing an average of 1.814 million viewers on the USA Network, a slight decrease from the previous Monday's 1.842 million viewers.
That's yet another record low in terms of viewership for WWE's flagship show, not just for 2020, but also the second worst for a non-holiday edition of RAW. The lowest rated instalment was in December 2018 with a terrible 1.775 million viewers, and at this rate, we can likely expect the show to slip down to somewhere in that ballpark within a matter of weeks.
Hour one drew 1.945 million viewers, hour two drew 1.888 million viewers, and hour three plummeted to 1.619 million viewers.
It was a decent enough episode, so what went wrong? After all, WWE is coming off the back of a well-received WrestleMania, and Money in the Bank is fast approaching. Do wrestling fans not want to watch a show without an audience or do people simply not agree with these athletes still competing giving everything that's happening right now? It's hard to say, but the interest clearly isn't there.
Last week's SmackDown also did a bad number, so time will tell how WWE attempts to respond to this.
