During an appearance on today's episode of
WWE's The Bump, Naomi talked about making her in-ring return at the
Royal Rumble PPV and revealed that her lengthy hiatus from the company came as a result of "losing a loved one."
"It’s been amazing," she said when asked about returning to SmackDown. "It feels like I never left. Like, I was gone for a while dealing with my family and losing a loved one and a lot of other things. I really missed it and to come back with such a warm response, like it just gave me a validation about myself and my career and I do belong and I am missed and I am loved."
"It made me have that passion and that energy and that love all over again like day one," she concluded.
Naomi will, of course, make history during tomorrow's Super ShowDown PPV when she challenges Bayley for the SmackDown Women's Championship in Saudi Arabia. How she'll fare in that match is hard to say, but she was previously rumoured to be challenging for the title at WrestleMania.
