Various outlets are reporting that Rey Mysterio may have injured his shoulder during his match with Samoa Joe at the Money in the Bank PPV. The Master of the 619 could be seen holding his left shoulder after the bout and it's believed that he separated it at some point.

Now, it's up to WWE to decide what they're going to do with the United States Championship.

As noted, the plan was for Mysterio's feud with Joe to continue (hence why the match ended in such a controversial fashion) and the former's son, Dominick, was also expected to factor into proceedings.

If Mysterio is going to be on the shelf for a while, chances are these plans will be scrapped and the US title will be vacated or handed back to Joe. We'll be sure to keep you guys updated as we learn more. For now, share your thoughts with us in the comments section!
