This week's SmackDown Live felt very much like a case of deja vu. Dolph Ziggler cut the exact same promo as last week, as did Jinder Mahal (albeit with more racist overtones), and both Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens failed to make much of an impact after the shocking events which saw Vince get brutally attacked by the former Universal and United States Champion.
After drawing a mighty 2.754 million viewers last Tuesday, the show plummeted this week with a total of 2.510 million viewers. That's a big dip and means SmackDown Live won't top RAW quite yet.
There are still quite a few weeks to go until Hell in a Cell and WWE has plenty of time to set things right. After all, Ziggler's promos need to get cut off by the returning Bobby Roode (who has been absent from the show for a while now) and it's vital that Owens and McMahon's feud doesn't lose steam! Plus, it would probably help if Mahal's racist promos aimed at Shinsuke Nakamura came to an end!
