Ahead of Super ShowDown, WWE was hyping it as a show as good as, if not better than, WrestleMania. Well, the critically panned PPV most certainly was not up there with even the worst Show of Shows and now the real attendance figure for the event has been revealed.

The King Abdullah Sports City Stadium has 62,345 seats in total but WWE was nowhere near close to selling the building out.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Super ShowDown drew only 21,000 fans. That's a tiny crowd for such a large arena and this 10 year partnership doesn't appear to be particularly good for anyone given the backlash WWE has faced and the apparent lack of interest in wrestling in Saudi Arabia.

Either way, WWE is expected to return to the country on November 1st for another PPV. Will ticket sales be any better? We'll see.
