The Location For WWE SUMMERSLAM In 2018 Has Been Revealed

SummerSlam has hailed from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn for the past three years and it's been announced today that it will do so again in 2018. This year, WWE is holding NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III on August 18th, SummerSlam on August 19th, RAW on August 20th, and SmackDown Live on August 21st. There are also meet and greets and a variety of other fan experiences taking place.

"Our partners in New York have worked tirelessly to help create the incremental growth of SummerSlam week through the presentation of not only our ticketed and fan events at the Barclays
Center, but also through the community-based events taking place in the city’s five boroughs," John Saboor, WWE’s executive vice president of special events reveals. "We are very proud of that and the work that we have done."

It's not clear whether or not WWE will spend another four days there in 2018 but SummerSlam is definitely going to hail from the Barclays Center again and that's good news for wrestling fans on the East Coast. It's clear now that New York is considered the home for the biggest party of the summer and that it's unlikely to head back to the Staples Center in Los Angeles for quite some time.
