For better or worse, WrestleMania is going ahead this weekend and will be split between two nights for the first time. Most fans - and WWE employees, if a recent rumor is to be believed - would rather see the event postponed, but Vince McMahon was said to be adamant that the show must go on.
Now, Triple H has commented on the decision to move forward with 'Mania under the shadow of the coronavirus pandemic, claiming that it's all in the name of putting smiles on people's faces in these troubling times.
The Game also confirms the recent bombshell announcement that Roman Reigns will no longer be challenging Goldberg for the Universal Championship because he is immunocompromised , although he doesn't name his replacement (if you want to know, click HERE).
It's easy to be cynical about this, but we believe WWE wanting to take people's minds off what's going on in the world with some good old fashioned escapism is at least part of the reason why they're sticking to the original date. We just hope it doesn't come back to bite them in the ass.
