RAW was another disaster in terms of ratings and a big part of that boiled down to the show airing at the same time as the NBA Finals. Now, Bryan Alvarez has revealed on Wrestling Observer Live that things were constantly being moved around because of the game.
"I can tell you for a fact that last night during Raw they were monitoring the NBA game and I believe that things were moved around as a result of what was happening during the game. They do keep an eye on things," he revealed, pointing to more behind the scenes chaos as WWE scrambled to keep viewers on the hook for those three hours.
WWE frequently moves around segments so that the big ones happen during halftime. Their thinking is that fans will be changing the channel to see what's happening on RAW and it's obviously important to have something noteworthy going on when that happens.
None of this made a difference, of course, as RAW still received record-low ratings and these constant changes can't have helped an already bad episode.
