It's been confirmed today that Stacy Keibler is set to strut her way into the WWE Hall of Fame, joining Rey Mysterio, The Great Muta, and Andy Kaufman in the Class of 2023.
Keibler first made her mark in WCW before heading to WWE as part of The Alliance. She immediately made an impact in WWE, wowing the WWE Universe with what WWE.com describes as her "vivacious personality and combustible charisma."
As we're sure you'll recall, Keibler soon emerged as "The Duchess of Dudleyville" while managing The Dudley Boyz. The WWE Superstar went on to employ her services to several Ruthless Aggression talent, including Test, Scott Steiner and even for Rosey and The Hurricane, where her alter ego "Super Stacy" soared in tandem with the superheroes.
Keibler would go on to use her athleticism to take down her opponents and contend for the Women's Championship many times, facing off against Torrie Wilson and Sable at WrestleMania XX.
She left WWE in 2006 and was frequently featured on magazine covers, placing third on the second season of Dancing with the Stars, and landing roles in TV shows like Chuck and How I Met Your Mother.
"I never thought I would be in the Hall of Fame, to be honest," Keibler tells PEOPLE of her reaction to the news. "I was completely shocked when I got the call. I had tears in my eyes."
"When [the WWE representative] told me, I screamed, and tears were in my eyes, and I was completely overwhelmed with just gratefulness. The fans are the ones that made it possible. I owe so much to them for getting me to this point in my career."
"I've spent time just reflecting, and I feel so lucky to have this extraordinary time with the organization, the community, but most of all the fans. And it's shaped my life, and there's nothing else that can get me more excited in the exact same way as being live in front of the WWE fans. Their passion is contagious. So I'm just so excited."
Our congratulations to Keibler on her induction into the WWE Hall of Fame!
