WWE ratings have been in the toilet for a while now and it seems the company is doing everything possible to combat that. During last night's RAW, that included announcing a bizarre new "Wild Card" rule which means Superstars from SmackDown Live can randomly appear on Monday nights and vice versa.
Over the course of the three-hour episode, WWE didn't put a single clip up on YouTube and the first didn't land until after RAW went off the air. It seems as if this might be a way of trying to get those who rely on that website to watch those edited clips to tune into USA instead and it's a smart move, especially as so many fans essentially tune into the show via YouTube every Monday.
On Twitter, WWE most shared GIFs and photos rather than video clips (which often feature the bets moments) and those that did go up reminded fans they could tune into USA now for the live show.
This may seem somewhat desperate but things aren't good for WWE right now and it seems as if they've realised that they can regain at least some of their audience by getting viewers to tune in...after all, you wouldn't watch Game of Thrones on HBO if all the best bits almost immediately went up on Twitter and YouTube!
