There's been concern for quite some time now about the falling ratings for RAW and SmackDown Live but it appears as if the NBA and NHL postseasons coming to an end is just what WWE needed. While the Money in the Bank fallout and Daniel Bryan's return no doubt also helped, SmackDown Live had quite the bump in ratings this week!

This Tuesday's episode had an increase of over half a million more viewers than last week and the demographic rating from the 18-45 age range was up from last week’s 0.63 to 0.85. That's an impressive jump and one which is definitely good news for WWE. In total, the two-hour show had an average of 2.957 million viewers, a solid result.

Now, with two months to go until SummerSlam, WWE is competition free on Monday and Tuesday, something which is sure to help restore faith in the current product. Of course, it probably won't make a difference with bad booking and the overlong RAW, but perhaps the show's writers will start making a greater effort now that they know people are watching!
