Saturday will feature three championship matches for the big pay-per-view. Overall, nine matches are set for the card. As always, these are just our predictions with no insider knowledge. Let’s get started with the first match:
AEW World Championship match: Jon Moxley (c) vs. MJF (Moxley's Paradigm Shift finisher is banned)
This is an interesting match. A part of me feels that this has come about too early. While MJF does have that victory over Cody Rhodes back at Revolution, I feel that the young star should’ve gotten another big win before challenging Moxley for the belt.
Also, it feels too early for Moxley to drop the title. His title reign feels like it’s just beginning even though he’s held the belt since Revolution. Selfishly, I feel MJF should get the win here. It’s time that AEW takes a risk on a young guy as the top champion and MJF has the all the tools to carry the company for the next few months. Moxley doesn’t need the belt. He’s a star whether he has the championship or not.
Also, I don’t believe that Moxley should be the one to take away MJF’s undefeated streak. That huge win should go to another young talent that finally topples MJF for the prestigious belt. However, here’s the thing, MJF will be fine if he doesn’t win the title on Saturday.
MJF has a great look and is a strong character. Those two key factors ensure that he’ll be fine once his feud with Jon Moxley is over. The guy WILL be the AEW World Champion eventually, but I get a feeling that Jon Moxley vs. Kenny Omega II is right around the corner. Remember, Moxley’s first victory against the AEW World Tag Team Champion doesn’t count in the record books because it was a lights out match.
I suspect that Omega is going heel soon and will be the guy to beat Moxley for the belt. So unfortunately for Mr. Maxwell Jacob Friedman, the man walking out as the AEW World Champion is…
Winner: Jon Moxley
AEW World Tag Team Championship match: Adam “Hangman” Page and Kenny Omega (c) vs. FTR
Arguably my favorite feud thanks to the slow burn development between Page and Omega. I still have my guard up on Page’s reasoning for screwing over the Bucks. I feel that Omega was actually the man to tell him to stop Matt and Nick Jackson from winning the gauntlet match.
Both Omega and Page have been teasing a heel turn; however, the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion has shown more of an aggressive and darker side than Page. The “Hangman” did screw over the Bucks, but he showed remorse for his actions. I would be stunned if Omega and Page leave All Out still the champions.
The duo has fought nearly every team on the roster, so there isn’t much else for the AEW World Tag Team Champions to do. Also, I suspect that Omega will be the man to take away the world title from Moxley at the next pay-per-view. FTR and The Young Bucks will likely clash at the next show as well.
I don’t know when Omega vs. Page will take place. There is a Casino Battle Royale that will determine the next contender for the AEW World title, so it’s possible that the winner will go on to fight Moxley at the next pay-per-view while Page vs. Omega takes place on that same night. Either way, the outcome remains the same to me.
Winner: FTR
AEW Women's World Championship match: Hikaru Shida (c) vs. NWA World Women's Champion Thunder Rosa
Arguably the most predictable match of the entire pay-per-view. It’s possible that the title changes hands and Rosa defends the belt on Dynamite until she drops it; however, this screams a one and done match to put over Hikaru Shida.
I feel that either Nyla Rose or Britt Baker will be next in line for the belt. I don’t know why the company isn’t building up Rose strong since she just got Vickie Guerrero as her manager. AEW has notably struggled building up the women’s division and it’s due to the lack of attention that their female characters get.
Shida hasn’t had a proper women’s feud since becoming champion and the company doesn’t seem too concerned about building up potential challengers on the babyface or heel side. Baker has gotten the most character development on the heel side and will most likely end up taking the belt from Shida. Until then, we’ll be treated with a strong match between the two top female talents at All Out.
Winner: Hikaru Shida
Mimosa Mayhem Match: Chris Jericho vs. Orange Cassidy (Match can be won by pinfall, submission, or throwing the opponent into a tank of mimosa)
At this point in Jericho’s career, the former AEW World Champion’s position is to mainly put over future main event talents. Jericho will get solid and big victories every now and then; however, it would be hugely beneficial for Cassidy if he gets a strong decisive pinfall or submission win. The latter option won’t do much for the AEW star, though I suspect that someone like Jake Hager or Proud and Powerful will go into a tank of mimosa.
Winner: Orange Cassidy
Broken Rules Match: Matt Hardy vs. Sammy Guevara (If Hardy loses, he leaves AEW).
There is no way in hell that Matt Hardy is leaving AEW anytime soon. It’s possible that some kind of crazy new character can be spawned from this storyline if Guevara picks up the win here, but that feels like a lazy cop out that really doesn’t make too much sense. Guevara still needs a big win; however, I just don’t see it against Matt Hardy this Saturday.
Winner: Matt Hardy
Dark Order (Brodie Lee, Colt Cabana, Evil Uno, and Grayson) vs. The Natural Nightmares, Matt Cardona, and Scorpio Sky
It’s possible that either Sky or Cardona could get the victory for their team to set up a singles feud with Mr. Brodie Lee. It’s also possible that Cabana could end up taking the loss, which pisses off the TNT Champion and he ends up turning on the Chicago native setting up a feud between the two.
There are several possibilities storyline wise, but Lee WILL NOT drop the belt before his rematch against Cody Rhodes. This match will likely set up a new challenger, though I don’t expect the TNT Champion to take the pinfall.
Winner: The Natural Nightmares, Matt Cardona, and Scorpio Sky
21-Man Casino Battle Royale: Darby Allin, Lance Archer, Brian Cage, Ricky Starks, Eddie Kingston, The Blade, The Butcher, Fenix, and Pentagon Jr., TBA. Winner receives future AEW World Championship Match.
This one is the hardest to pick since no one really stands out as the next challenger for the AEW World Title. Darby Allin and Brian Cage are not winning. Both men have already received their championship opportunities and I don’t see either one winning the belt just yet.
I like the possibility of Kingston, Fenix, or Pentagon Jr. becoming the next challenger. I don’t expect either man to beat Moxley (or MJF) if they win, but the matches should be fun nevertheless. All three men have shined as singles stars in different promotions so giving them a brief main event rub is cool.
The only surprise entrants I could possibly think of right now is NWA World Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis, Miro (WWE’s Rusev), Jeff Cobb, and Rowan. The last three are an extremely slim chance. With the recent partnership between NWA and AEW, it’s only a matter of time before Nick Aldis shows up.
Unless there’s a surprise big name entrant making his debut this Saturday then this match could likely see Lance Archer emerge victorious. If AEW doesn’t plan on giving him the belt then Archer winning is a bad move as the AEW newcomer can’t keep taking big losses so early in his run. So, I’m going to go with the man who will deliver big time during the build-up to the world title showdown; however, he can also take a loss and not be drastically affected following the championship match.
Winner: Eddie Kingston
The Young Bucks vs. Jurassic Express (Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy)
The Bucks seem like the obvious choice here, but Full Gear isn’t until November. There’s plenty of different ways to get to FTR vs. The Young Bucks; however, Wheeler and Wilder do need side feuds coming out of All Out and Jurassic Express will perfectly fill that spot. Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus need to start getting big victories and that will start this Saturday (or at least I think it will).
Winner: Jurassic Express
Tooth and Nail Match (The Buy In): Britt Baker vs. Big Swole
Apparently, this is some sort of Falls Count Anywhere match inside of Britt Baker’s office. Baker vs. Shida seems to be the next direction that officials will go in unless AEW decide to pick up the Nyla Rose story again.
While Baker is still green inside the ring, she could finally be the face that carries the women’s division. The 29-year-old has a strong character that’s easy to hate, which will be very beneficial to her challengers if built-up properly. Swole has shined every time she’s been given a microphone and I expect these women to work hard to provide a solid match on Saturday. Ultimately, I think the doctor will win this one.
Winner: Dr. Britt Baker
That’s it! Thanks for reading and feel free to put your predictions in the comment section.
