On tonight's episode of AEW Dynamite, two matches were added to the lineup for the upcoming AEW Dynasty pay-per-view taking place Sunday, April 6, 2025 at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Several other things were announced to go down on this Saturday's episode of AEW Collision (March 29, 2025 at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena in Milwaukee, Wisconsin) as well as next week's episode of AEW Dynamite (April 2, 2025 at the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, Illinois).
Here's your recap rundown of everything that was announced and advertised.
In regards to AEW Dynasty, there was an interview segment with Tony Schiavone talking to Rated FTR about Dax Harwood walking out on Cope and Cash Wheeler last week. Harwood apologized, stating that he's frustrated that for four months, FTR set aside their mission to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship titles in order to try to help Cope win the AEW World Championship. Cope failed twice, and he's upset that they lost sight of their goals. Cope retorted that he never intended to distract them, and after they seemingly buried the hatchet, they decided to challenge The Death Riders to an AEW World Trios Championship match for the pay-per-view. Later in the show, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and PAC were angry at this challenge, saying that they are the ones who challenge Rated FTR, accepting the match.
Also announced, but not technically made 100% confirmed just yet, is that Chris Jericho knows Bandido wants to become the ROH world champion again, but he's not just giving him a title shot for nothing. Just like how Jericho ripped the mask of Bandido's brother, Gravity, at AEW Revolution, Jericho wants Bandido to put his mask on the line as collateral to offset Jericho putting the ROH World Championship up for grabs.
The Learning Tree's Big Bill and Bryan Keith are looking to prove themselves to Jericho, so they'll be in action on Collision against Top Flight, who scored a victory on tonight's Dynamite.
Also set for Collision, to help further the trios title situation, is Dax Harwood against Wheeler Yuta.
"Switchblade" Jay White, who earlier declared himself as an entrant in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, will be in action opposite Kevin Knight.
Mercedes Mone will have a match, but her opponent wasn't advertised, and Jamie Hayter will go up against Queen Aminata.
Next week's Dynamite just has the return of Will Ospreay scheduled, as well as a mixed tag team match with Swerve Strickland and Willow Nightingale against Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir. Notably, Nightingale went after Shafir on tonight's episode and forced the Death Riders to retreat from the promo segment between Strickland and Moxley.
