AEW taped Friday's episode of Rampage following last night's epic Dynamite "Grand Slam," and for his match with Powerhouse Hobbs, the Best in the World returned to a look sure to be familiar to WWE fans.

During last night's episode of AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam, CM Punk addressed the crowd to hype his match with Powerhouse Hobbs during this Friday's episode of AEW Rampage

That will mark the Best in the World's first televised match in seven years, and the bout was actually taped last night (don't worry, we won't be sharing the outcome of that here). At All Out, Punk donned a pair of long tights for his return match against Darby Allin, a change to his "classic" in-ring look. 

Earlier this week, he actually asked fans on Twitter if they'd rather see him in those or trunks for Rampage, and it seems that the latter option was ultimately far more popular among his followers.

As you can see below, Punk came to the ring in trunks to face Hobbs, and it's hard not to be reminded of his time in WWE. Of course, he made it clear that's behind him during last night's blistering promo talking about pro wrestling being back in New York, something you have to believe was retaliation for what Roman Reigns recently said when WWE returned to Madson Square Garden!
