Jim Ross came under fire for a comment he made during Saturday's AEW All Out PPV, and the legendary announcer has now responded via a since deleted Tweet.

As The Dark Order's Anna Jay was being restrained by stablemate Stu Grayson in the middle of an 8-man tag match, Ross asked if the 22-year-old was having a "wardrobe malfunction," or if that was just "wishful thinking" on his part. It's a line that would have been perceived as being fairly innocuous, if a little pervy, a few years ago, but not today!

Ross did apologize over Twitter... but followed it by telling people to "lighten up."

Honestly, we can see both sides here. These guys should be more careful about what can be viewed as sexist or objectifying comments like this, but at the same time, it was clearly meant as a joke. Jim Ross is in his 70s, and while that's not always an excuse for antiquated viewpoints or behavior, it's important to keep things in context and have a little empathy and understanding - especially when no offence was intended.

Neither Jay or anyone from AEW has commented, but this did gain quite a bit of mainstream media attention, so this may not be the last we hear about it.
