Jon Moxley has recently been doing the rounds to promote his autobiography, but AEW President Tony Khan took to Twitter a few hours ago to confirm that the former AEW World Champion has chosen to enter an inpatient alcohol treatment program. This likely means we won't see him in the ring for a while, and we expect AEW to replace him in that ongoing #1 contender's tournament.

Moxley recently became a father and is known for pushing himself in the squared circle. That and what we can only imagine was a gruelling publicity tour for his book, MOX, is a lot for anyone to handle, so it's good to hear he's chosen to now seek help before things get any worse for him.

As far as we're aware, Moxley has never spoken publicly about issues with alcohol, but we're hoping he's able to get to a better place now and wish him well on his journey to recovery.
