Everyone wants a piece of Mercedes Mone.

The TBS Champion is coming off a strong victory over Kris Statlander for the second time in a row. The 32-year-old has been the TBS Champion for 220 days now, beating Willow Nightingale, Hikaru Shida, Britt Baker, and Nyla Rose to keep it, but Mercedes may have a new challenger on the horizon: Julia Hart.

The former TBS Champion is scheduled to make her in-ring return tonight at AEW’s Fight for the Fallen special. Hart has to deal with Jamie Hayter, who won’t be an easy opponent to fend off. However, the former TBS Champion has long term plans, and that involves winning back what she once held.

Definitely Mercedes (Moné), she has my title,” Hart said. “Probably Willow (Nightingale) too, she took the belt from me. I’ve never worked with Mariah (May), I’ve never worked with Toni (Storm). I would love to work with Serena Deeb, I think she’s someone I could learn a lot from in the ring.”

Julia Hart vs. Mercedes Mone would definitely benefit the young AEW star. In fact, all the names listed would benefit Hart. Going back to Mone, It would be an interesting match-up stylistically. But as previously stated, Hart has to worry about Jamie Hayter tonight and she also told Variety about returning after eight long months,“That adrenaline rush is what I miss most from being gone for eight months. I could literally feel it through my legs I was so excited. I was trying not to shake,” said Hart.

She also went into depth about her vignettes leading up to her return match, “The first time I got hurt, back in January while I was still champion, I couldn’t wrestle for like five weeks,” she told. “I had these ideas set for that, but they didn’t make sense at the time because I was still onscreen. I’ve always had these in my back pocket, but I think I didn’t know what they were.”

Tonight’s match should be a good one. Hopefully these women can deliver something memorable as the build has been very good thus far. AEW is in an interesting position; Hayter is still fresh from her comeback, so she needs to rack up wins to get back in the title hunt. The former AEW Women’s World Champion is coming off a big loss to Willow Nightingale. Both women need wins, so the booking of this match is very important in setting up the future for both ladies.
