Fight for the Fallen isn’t the only big AEW show this week.
That’s because Collision will feature two championship matches! In the first match, Daniel Garcia will defend the TNT title for the first time since he won it at Full Gear. The 26-year-old is fresh off the Continental Classic and while he didn’t come in last place, Garcia did suffer a couple of losses.
One of those losses came at the hands of Mark Briscoe. The former ROH World Champion pinned him clean on 12/07/24, and Briscoe gets a chance to do it this time when the title is on the line. Garcia is actually coming off a loss to Kyle Fletcher, so the TNT Champion doesn’t exactly have strong momentum coming into his title match. Whereas Mark Briscoe has vast experience winning singles championships; The 39-year-old comes in with over two decades of wrestling knowledge. Can he walk out as the new TNT Champion on Saturday?
In tag team action, Private Party are finally scheduled to defend their belts against Lio Rush and Action Andretti. This will be the duo’s second title defense since Full Gear. Though Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen have held their belts for less than 70 days, the duo is no stranger to having tag team gold as Private Party held multiple titles before they stepped foot into AEW.
Lio Rush and Action Andretti haven’t on the other hand. The newly formed tag team have been slowly gaining some steam since joining forces and though they’ve never held any tag team titles together, these men come in with a wealth of championship experience as singles competitors.
