Yes, Bryan Danielson Really Did Choke Out Justin Roberts After AEW DYNAMITE Went Off The Air

When last night's episode of AEW Dynamite went off the air, Bryan Danielson and Justin Roberts recreated the event that, in 2010, led to the former being fired by WWE. Check out a video after the jump...

In 2010, Daniel Bryan was among those who hijacked RAW as part of Nexus. However, when he strangled Justin Roberts with his tie, it was a step too far for WWE Chairman Vince McMahon (who had a rule in place about choking after the Chris Benoit incident) and Bryan was promptly fired.

These days, both Bryan Danielson and Roberts are part of All Elite Wrestling. At the end of last night's Dynamite, a number of stars hit the ring in an effort to send fans home happy.

That led to Danielson and Roberts recreating the now infamous segment, though Tony Khan turned his back so he wouldn't have to witness what one of his newest acquisitions was up to! It was all in good fun, of course, and there was no ribbing or maliciousness on anyone's part here.

Following last night's episode of AEW Dynamite, it's been confirmed that Danielson will face Miro at AEW Full Gear in the final match of the AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament.
