Ace Romero has officially been added to the Over The Budget Battle Royale.

On the recent episode of The Road to Double or Nothing, the independent star was confirmed for the bout thanks to Cody being impressed with the young wrestling star. Once it was clear that putting Romero on the Double or Nothing card wouldn’t blow the company’s budget, the newcomer was made official for the bout on May 25th.

Romero has been on the wrestling scene since 2013. The rising star has been recently making waves on the indie circuit, most notably in Major League Wrestling. Romero has won several titles including the IWE Championship for Independent Wrestling Entertainment.

Cody previously promised that the winner of Battle Royale will receive "a great incentive" but has yet to reveal what the incentive was. AEW Double or Nothing is scheduled for May 25 from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Here is a look at the updated card:

PAC vs. Adam "Hangman" Page

SCU (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, Scorpio Sky) vs. CIMA & 2 OWE Roster Members

Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho

Britt Baker vs. Nyla Rose vs. Kylie Rae

Over Budget Battle Royale
Sonny Kiss, Brandon Cutler, Kip Sabian, Ace Romero

The Young Bucks vs. Lucha Brothers (Pentagon Jr. & Fenix)
