The Good Brothers are making their returns.
The former WWE Tag Team Champions were surprisingly released from the company alongside Sonya Deville, Blair Davenport, Giovanni Vinci, and Isla Dawn. Notably, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows had been off of WWE television for quite some time. In fact, there last televised match on WWE television was a loss to Hank and Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger) on NXT. But the reasoning behind the team's absence was due to Anderson suffering a torn rotator cuff and torn labrum, which was expected to keep him out of action from three to six months.
Despite the release, the Good Brothers are moving forward with their careers and Anderson gave an indication on his next move on social media recently.
The Good Brothers going back to New Japan Pro Wrestling isn’t too much of a surprise, but before they head over to Japan, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows will head over to All Star Wrestling in West Virginia to face The Powers of Pain (Warlord & Barbarian) in a Steel Cage match at ASW Bash in Beckley on June 7th.
As of this moment, Anderson and Gallows haven’t spoken about their WWE releases, though it’s possible that the duo simply want to move on and continue wrestling across the globe. Anderson and Gallows were prominent figures in Impact Wrestling in 2021 and 2022, so it’s always possible that the former WWE stars could end up back there as well.
The Good Brothers aren’t the only notable names that have worked for All Star Wrestling. Matt Cardona will be working their 19th Anniversary show on March 22. Bully Ray, Heath Slater, and WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase are also scheduled to take part of the June 7th show.
It should be interesting to see what the future holds for the duo. The clear signs of where they are going is there, but will Gallows and Anderson remain partners for long? Before Anderson made his return to WWE, New Japan was giving him a serious singles title push as he was the NEVER Openweight Champion when he re-signed to WWE.
While Gallows was mostly his heater, there’s no telling what would’ve happened if Anderson would’ve never re-signed to WWE. We’ll surely find out what will happen next to the Good Brothers very soon. Currently, they are under a 90-day no compete clause; add in that Karl isn’t fully healed yet and that’s why they won’t be making any returns under June.
