When reports were released in late August that former WWE cruiserweight champion Neville was finally free to wrestler elsewhere, attention automatically drew to All In, with many outlets reporting that the former Neville could be making an appearance at the huge independent show.
To the surprise of many, Neville instead made his debut back on the indie scene at his previous promotion before leaving WWE, Dragon Gate USA.
The former WWE superstar – now going back to the PAC name he previously used – is not surprisingly seeing much success in his return to the indie promotion; however, it appears that PAC was at least contacted about making an appearance at All In, according to Chris Jericho on his podcast (which was translated by
Wrestlezone.com):
“They tried to get him to go to All In, like over the top and he wouldn’t do it. He wanted to make his debut with Dragon Gate.” Sami Zayn – a guest and long-time friend of PAC - stated that Neville isn’t particularly ‘money driven’ and said,
“That’s the kind of guy he is dude, lot of love, a lot of respect for him. He’s principled.”
Zayn also added that Neville seems
‘like he’s really happy’ with his transition to the independent scene and stated that
, “It’s so funny how there’s millions that dream of being in our position and his dream is being a postman [laughter]. That’s the kind of dude he is. He’s a world famous pro wrestler. His dream is just being a mail man; he just wants to walk around and deliver the mail. He wants a simple life. He’s a simple guy and he loves wrestling. He really does. It’s not to say he won’t wrestle other places or take money. You need money to live and all that, but he’s not the type to sell his soul, so to speak, for an extra few bucks.”
