It appears that David Finlay’s shoulder injury is worse than many believed.

The New Japan Pro Wrestling star initially suffered the injury during a tag team match at the NJPW-ROH Honor Rising tour on February 23rd, where the former NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team champion and Juice Robinson challenged the Briscoe Brothers for the ROH Tag Team titles.

Finlay did acknowledge the injury after his match, tweeting, "I did dislocate my shoulder last night but it’s back in now. I’ll see a doctor when I’m home to see what the damage is but hopefully it’s nothing too serious."

NJPW officially pulled Finlay from the upcoming New Japan Cup. Finlay was set to face Hiroyoshi Tenzan in the first round on Mar. 10. There is no timetable for Finlay's return at the moment.
