Dragon Gate has once again been forced to cancel several of their upcoming shows.

The Japanese promotion confirmed that live events from June 2 until June 10 have been scrapped due to the coronavirus pandemic. Everything appeared to slowly go back to normal when Stardom and Dragon Gate announced their returns to live events back in late March; however, the situation regarding the coronavirus hasn’t gotten any better thus both promotions have pulled running any live events for the foreseeable future.

Still, Dragon Gate has managed to run their annual King of Gate 2020 tournament. This year’s competition isn’t round-robin style like every other year due to the coronavirus, but there are three blocks for the tournament .

Thus far, Kzy, YAMATO, Diamante, and Yosuke Santa Maria have won their respective matches in Block A. This past weekend, Kaito Ishida, Keisuke Okuda, KAI, and Naruki Doi advanced to the next round in Block B. Last night, Ben-K, Eita, Kazma Sakamoto, and Dragon Dia won their first-round matches for Block C.

We’ll keep you updated on the situation when more news comes to light.
