Homicide’s career has just come to an end.
The former ROH World Champion has stated for the last year that he was wrapping up his career in 2025 and on March 20th, his tag team match with Bull James against Afa Jr. and Mike Santana was the final chapter of Homicide’s legacy (in-ring wise).
One might chalk up Homicide’s decision due to him being 48-year-old; however, the former TNA star revealed that isn’t the case. On his Facebook, Homicide wrote an emotional post about his issues with his health, which is the reason behind his retirement.
"Reason I'm leaving cause I went to my Doctor and found cyst my brain," Homicide said. "Had it for months getting worst. My vision, speech is bad. Cause the hard hitting getting knock out and hitting a plane to travel."
Despite his health issues, Homicide doesn’t want people to be sad for him. The former TNA World Tag Team Champion just wants people to be happy and knows he’ll get through whatever issue he’s dealing with.
"I want people to party, and smile, except for Afa Jr.,'" Homicide said. "I'm survivor, I always win bs battles , bottom my heart. Thank you for your support. This not a goodbye. This is I see you later."
Homicide should hold his head up high as he’s had one hell of a career. He was apart of the most popular and influential tag teams, and he’s also had plenty of memorable matches and moments.
Homicide is infamously known for his time with Konnan and Hernandez in LAX. But he’s also done great work down in ROH and is a former ROH World Champion. He’s won the TNA and NWA World Tag Team belts three times. He’s also competed and won titles in AAA, Full Impact Pro, and Big Japan Pro Wrestling. It’s a shame that Homicide never really got a chance to prove his skills in WWE, but in this day and age, you don’t need a career in WWE to go down as one of the best.
Plenty of other people feel so as well. ROH just released a video chronicling the legendary career of Homicide and one of the people that positively speaks about the former ROH star is his ex-LAX partner, Eddie Kingston. CM Punk, Will Ospreay, and tons of other names honored Homicide as well.
