The former ROH World Champion is out with an injury.

At Final Battle, Matt Taven sought to get revenge on the man who turned his back on The Kingdom, Vincent. The personal match was a war between the former partners; however, Taven would end up losing the battle.

However, the story continued following their brutal encounter, as Vincent further injured the 34-year-old by smashing a chair into Taven’s ankle. Apparently, that was ROH’s way of writing him off of television for a bit, as Matt revealed on social media that he had successful ankle surgery.

There’s no word on long how Taven will be sidelined with his latest injury. We’ll keep you updated when news breaks regarding his return to the ring.
