This weekend will be huge for professional wrestling. While many fans are gearing up for NXT Takeover and the Royal Rumble, other promotions will showcase their talented rosters on the indie circuit as well.

This upcoming Saturday will feature a dream women’s bout with two former multi-time women’s champions, Victoria (who now goes by her real name Lisa Marie Varon) and Melina.

Despite the two recognizable names being in the WWE together from 2004 to 2009, these two have never had a one-on-one encounter inside the squared circle.

The match is set to take place at MCW Pro Wrestling during their Winter Blast Tour.

Varon and Melina did have a brief encounter in the MCW promotion at their Ladies Night event, in 2015. Per PWInsider, Varon was the special guest referee for the MCW Women’s Championship main event match between then-champion Amber Rodriguez against the challenger, Mickie James. Melina was the outside enforcer. Melina turned heel with a kick to the head to James. Varon retaliated on the attack by delivering the Widow’s Peak to Melina. James was able to capture the title.
