The IWGP Intercontinental champion has returned!

Earlier today, New Japan hosted King of Pro-Wrestling; EVIL was set to take on Zack Sabre Jr, but the Los Ingobernables de Japon member was attacked out of nowhere by the man himself, Chris Jericho, during his entrance. EVIL had a number of masked druids carrying him to the ring, but Jericho (dressed as a druid) ended up going after EVIL once he got to there.

Y2J hit a codebreaker, then revealed himself to the crowd. He hit EVIL with the title, taunted him a bit while holding his IWGP Intercontinental Championship, and then left through the crowd.

EVIL was scheduled to take on Zack Sabre Jr., but the referee called a no contest since EVIL wasn't able to wrestle. Sabre ended up attacking him anyways, Naito came out to make the save.

Back at Dominion when Jericho defeated Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP Intercontinental title, it was teased that EVIL would be Jericho’s next challenger when he made the save, stopping Jericho’s attack on Naito. Speculation has it that Jericho will face EVIL at New Japan’s final big event before Wrestle Kingdom, which is Power Struggle.
