Super Battle just got even bigger!
First, it was the return of Roderick Strong as the current AEW star is scheduled to take on Erick Stevens at an October event. Now, it’s been confirmed that Adam Priest will defend the DPW World Championship against another familiar face - Jake Something.
Priest has been the DPW World Champion for more than 150 days. The 29-year-old won the title back in April and has successfully defended it five times. One of those times was against Jake Something last month.
For those unfamiliar with Priest, he was the man that pushed Dax Harwood a couple of weeks ago during that huge brawl between FTR and Adam Copeland & Christian Cage. He’s faced FTR twice in the past with Tommy Billington on Collision. Priest has also competed in Progress, Prestige Wrestling, and Major League Wrestling. Priest originally made his debut for DEADLOCK Pro-Wrestling back in 2024 and he’s also a former DPW National Champion.
Jake Something is notable for his time in TNA/Impact Wrestling. Something has been working with TNA on and off since 2018, and though he’s yet to win any titles, the 36-year-old is featured prominently on their programming. Jake was just in a four way number contender’s match with the winner earning the right to challenge Leon Slater for the belt at Victory Road.
Jake has been working for DPW since 2023 and is a former DPW World Champion. He won the title back in October 2024 and held onto it for 118 days. The DEADLOCK Pro-Wrestling Super Battle is slowly building nicely as two quality matches (at least on paper) have been signed for the upcoming event.
For those of you unfamiliar with DEADLOCK Pro-Wrestling, the promotion was founded in 2021 and the promotion has been praised for it’s high quality of wrestling matches. They’ve had big names such as Speedball Mikey, The Motor City Machine Guns, Ace Austin, Donovan Dijak wrestle for the promotion in the past.
