Marty Scurll will not join his Elite members in AEW.
It was reported earlier in the week by Dave Meltzer that the former ROH World Television Champion was offered “WWE main roster money” and many other perks, with the wrestling journalist claiming that the deal between the two sides was close to being made.
Now, Mike Johnson at
PWInsider has officially confirmed that “The Villain” has indeed re-signed with the promotion; however, the exact length of his contract is unknown. Scurll is also able to continue working with New Japan Pro Wrestling and NWA. In addition to a lucrative contract, Scurll will now take lead booking duties in ROH. The 31-year-old will continue to wrestle for the company as well.
After the last few months, its no surprise that Marty decided to stay with ROH. There’s no word on what offer he received from AEW; however, this is a strong re-signing for the promotion, who’s still recovering from the loss of The Elite in 2018.
