Well, Mysterio’s opponent has finally been confirmed as he prepares to take part in a star-studded 6 man tag team match, joining forces with Jushin Thunder Liger and Hiroshi Tanahashi to take on The Bullet Club.

The reasoning behind this matchup stems from “The Villain” Marty Scurll’s behavior throughout the 2018 Best of the Super Juniors tournament. The former IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion was frequently reprimanded by Liger, who sat in on commentary during most of the tour, leading to a few unpleasant confrontations between the two.

During Monday afternoon’s Super Juniors Finale, Scurll was involved in a post-match altercation with Tanahashi, putting him in a submission hold after the closing bell had already rung. Liger eventually made the save and chased off the Bullet Club foe, who then demanded to face each of them at Dominion in order to “kill all the legends” at once.

This Saturday at NJPW Dominion, Rey Mysterio, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Jushin Thunder Liger will team up to face Bullet Club’s Marty Scurll, Cody Rhodes and Hangman Page in what’s sure to be an exciting bout.
