Jay Lethal has officially held the ROH World Heavyweight championship longer than any man in company history. The two-time ROH World Heavyweight champion celebrated this honorary distinction when he surpassed Samoa Joe’s record of 645 days. The current WWE superstar’s title reign stemmed from March 22, 2003 until Final Battle on December 26, 2004, when Joe was finally toppled by Austin Aries.

Jay Lethal first captured the world title back in 2015 at Best in the World by defeating Jay Briscoe. Lethal would have a lengthy reign that spanned for 427 days; The long time ROH star would recapture the title by defeating Cody, Matt Taven, and Dalton Castle on June 30, 2018.
