Several big matches have been confirmed for ROH’s Past vs. Present event.

The special show will take place during the weekend of ROH’s 18th Anniversary pay-per-view, with a couple of exciting matches already confirmed.

First, Matt Sydal and Alex Shelley of Generation Next will take on Villain Enterprises’ Flip Gordon and Marty Scurll. Back in 2003, Shelley formed a stable with Austin Aries, Jack Evans, and Roderick Strong called Generation Next. Sydal wouldn’t join the faction until after Shelley was kicked out of the group in 2005. The former ROH World Tag Team Champion and Generation Next feuded with The Embassy later in the year before disbanding.

In a interesting past vs. present match, former ROH World Champion Homicide will make his return to take on Brody King. Prior to his notable stint in TNA/Impact Wrestling, Homicide was a big name in ROH from 2002 to 2007. The Brooklyn native would win the ROH World Championship back in 2006, defeating Bryan Danielson in one of the company’s best matches during that time period.

Finally, for one night only, retired professional wrestler Doug Williams will face off against Jonathan Gresham. Another notable staple in ROH during the company’s early years, Williams was the second ROH Pure Champion. The special pay-per-view is set to take place on Friday, March 13.
