Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport returns August 2.
The previous show held in Las Vegas during the week of WrestleMania featured talents from numerous promotions such as WWE, AEW, MLW, TNA/Impact Wrestling, and New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Big names such as Simon Gotch, Royce Isaacs, David Modzmanashvili, Natalya Heidhart, Gabe Kidd, Pete Dunne, Karrion Kross, Karmen Petrovic, Shayna Baszler, and Natalya Neidhart competed at the event.
For those who don’t follow the unique format, Bloodsport started in 2018 under Matt Riddle’s name. Once Riddle signed to WWE, the event was turned over to former UFC fighter Josh Barnett. The rules are quite simple: every match will end either by knockout or submission. Instead of the traditional pro wrestling ring, the canvas has no ropes or turnbuckles.
Thus far, several names have been confirmed for the upcoming show:
- Masha Slamovich
- Dominic Garrini
- Janai Kai
- Simon Gotch
- Nick Comoroto
- Jonathan Gresham
- Matt Mako
- Nattie Neidhart
And the very first match of Bloodsport has been confirmed as WWE’s Nattie is officially set to take on TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich at the event. This will be the first time that these two ever fought one another.
Masha didn't waste any time trash talking her opponent for next month.
This is Natalya’s second Bloodsport show. Her first match was in April where the former WWE Women’s Champion took on Miya Yamashita. The WWE star won by submission. Natalya has been notably working on the independent scene this year and that doesn't seem to be coming to an end any time soon.
On the other hand, this is Masha's sixth Bloodsport. Her last Bloodsport was back in November 2024 where the TNA Knockouts Champion beat Lei Ying Lee by TKO. Masha has a couple of big matches coming up as the TNA Knockouts Champion is also scheduled to defend her prestigious title against Jacy Jayne in a title vs. title match at Slammiversary.
At the moment, that’s the only match confirmed for the Game Changer Wrestling show. It’s not confirmed yet as if there'll be more names add to the card, though it would be surprising if there wasn’t since the Las Vegas show was previously stacked.
