Yoshiki Inamura returns to Pro Wrestling NOAH.
That happened following KENTA’s successful GHC Heavyweight title defense against 2025 N-1 Victory Tournament winner Masa Kitamiya. The moment KENTA got the three count, Inamura came out and confronted the reigning GHC Heavyweight Champion.
Then it was officially confirmed that KENTA’s third title defense will be at the promotion’s Star Navigation show on November 8th at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.
To recall, KENTA won his first Pro Wrestling NOAH title in over a decade at the promotion’s 25th Anniversary in July. He beat Kenoh, who only won the title a day before he dropped it to KENTA.
As for Inamura, this will be his first Pro Wrestling NOAH match since September 2024. Inamura’s been on an American excursion through NXT. He started working down in the developmental promotion in November 2024 by teaming with Josh Briggs. Him and Briggs teamed together for a good portion of his early run and they challenged then NXT Tag Team Champions Fraxiom (Axiom & Nathan Frazer) on two separate occasions. They even tried to get the belts from Hank & Tank following their win over Fraxiom at Stand & Deliver.
However, WWE started using Inamura as a singles star during the Summer and he actually challenged Oba Femi for the NXT Championship at The Great American Bash. It was also around this time that the cracks between Inamura and Briggs began. Once those two finally imploded, Inamura’s final match in NXT was against Josh Briggs in a Philadelphia Street Fight. Briggs emerged victorious that night.
Despite stepping up to be the next challenger for the GHC Heavyweight title, Inamura has never held a singles title in Pro Wrestling NOAH. The only singles belt he’s won in his career thus far is the PROGRESS Atlas Championship. Could that change on November 8th? We’ll certainly find out very soon! He did make his in-ring return on the 16th and Inamura got a nice victory over KENTA, so he has momentum going into their first singles encounter.
