Former IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi Gives An Update On His Road To Recovery

The former IWGP Jr. Heavyweight champion suffered a devastating injury that would force him out of action for the rest of the year; however, Hiromu Takahashi has given a brief update on his road to recovery.

Last year during the G1 Special in San Francisco, both Dragon Lee and Hiromu Takahashi had an excellent back-and-forth encounter for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight championship.

So when it was revealed that Takahashi was injured after taking a Phoenix-Plex from the CMLL star, many were worried that the New Japan Pro Wrestling star’s career was finished based on the nature of the injury.

Luckily, Takahashi will be able to return back to the ring; however, it will take time for the former IWGP Jr. Heavyweight champion to recover. His initial timetable was 6-9 months, but Takahashi tweeted a bit of an update on his road to recovery thus far:
