Sounds like someone is returning to WWE soon.

EVOLVE Wrestling has confirmed that former WWE Tag Team Champion Matt Sydal will make his return to the promotion; however, it’s under the Evan Bourne name he used during his time with WWE.

Sydal was with the company from 2007 – 2014 and he’s mostly remembered for his beautiful shooting star press maneuver. The former Evan Bourne had some great matches throughout his run; however, his failure of the wellness test policy ultimately doomed his WWE career.

The 36-year-old has been on the independent scene since, namely New Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring Of Honor. Sydal also had a stint with Impact Wrestling, and became the X-Division Champion before leaving the company earlier this year. There were some rumors that WWE was interested in the high flyer, but nothing has materialized between the two sides just yet.

No matches have been confirmed, but here are the dates Sydal will compete for EVOLVE:

EVOLVE 139 on November 9th in Queens, NY
EVOLVE 140 on November 10th in Brooklyn, NY
EVOLVE 141 on December 6th in Livonia, MI
EVOLVE 142 on December 7th in Chicago, IL
