Natalya will officially challenge Kenzie Paige for the NWA World Women’s Championship.
This news shouldn’t be much of a surprise as the two shot an angle at Bloodsport XIII where Paige and the WWE star got into an altercation following Natalya’s win over Miya Yamashita.
Paige actually explained why she attacked Natalya during her Horror Pop After Midnight interview and it's because the NWA World Women’s Champion felt that she wasn’t getting any respect from the veteran.
“Don’t even bring up Natalya. You know what? Actually, let’s, let’s talk on it. Everyone thinks I’m the bad guy, I’m the bad one because I went to the dungeon. Maybe I did break in. Maybe I did beat her up and attack her. But you didn’t show me the respect I deserved, And when you don’t show someone respect, what do you expect them to do? What I did? Break into the dungeon and beat her ass in front of all her little friends.”
Kenzie Paige has held the NWA World Women’s title for more than 600 days. She beat “Brickhouse” Kamille at NWA 75. The former NWA star held the belt for an astounding 812 days, beating big names such as Chelsea Green, Taya Valkyrie, Taryn Terrell, and Melina, but Kenzie Paige managed to overcome the odds and beat the current AEW star in an unforgettable match.
Since then, the young star has managed to win every challenge that’s been put in her way. Max The Impaler, Roxy, Stevie Ash, Ruthie Jay, and Saraya Saber are just a short list of names that Paige has beaten in order to reach 600 plus days of being the NWA World Women's Champion.
This is the first time that Natalya will challenge for the NWA World Women’s Championship. In fact, the Crockett Cup is the first time Natalya will compete in the NWA. Natalya isn't the only WWE star competing at the event as Rhino is scheduled to fight for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight title. Though in Rhino's case, he's a former WWE star.
